- Reduced use of tables for

supported browsers (including Internet Explorer 5.5), and offering expanded
features for fully DOM-compliant browsers across "V" application
suite.
- Redesigned Viper
UI to improve usability, consistency, and visual appeal. Implemented
in JSP, using JSTL, WebWork, and display:* tag library.
- Developed Dynamic HTML front
end for new Viper product offering which captured over $115,000
of revenue in first month of operation.
- Designed and implemented
DHTML/JavaScript UI tools for dynamically filtering travel search result
sets and navigating enriched content in Viper. Integrated Ajax
features to reduce perceived lag of server round-trips.
- Developed feature to add
special travel requests such as non-smoking rooms for Viper and
Vorpal bookings. The DHTML/Javascript-based interface supports different
modes of operation based on user privilege level.
- Designed Verbatim
UI and implemented with FreeMarker.
- Developed JavaScript toolset
for dynamic validation of input forms prior to submission.

usability. Developed web sites. Created templates for web and e-learning
applications. Primary clients included Delta Air Lines, Forrester Research,
the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD), and the Federal

and consulting agreements with organizations including C2 Technologies,
Dazzle Technologies, and PerformTech for clients that included the US

Selected engagements include:
- Following the acquisition
of a competitor with US government business, a Forbes
"200 Best Small Companies List"-ranked Corporation relaunched
its corporate web site with new requirements imposed for site accessibility
by individuals with visual and motor impairments. Developed HTML and
CSS templates to accessibly implement designer's mockups and integrate
with Vignette web content management system. System supported presentation
of over 30,000 documents as part of the new site without editing or
reformatting individual documents. Consulted with design team to evaluate
usability of search features, as well as redesign and implement search
filtering interface without compromising accessibility goals. (Work
performed under a nondisclosure agreement.)
- Designed and implemented
architecture for New England College of Optometry
Interactive Case Studies e-learning. Course presents students
with medical histories and simulates the diagnostic process. System
supports dynamic addition of new content and image assets. Course was
developed with Authorware 7 and Flash MX, delivered via CD-ROM, and
includes extensive tracking of student performance and an administrative
report component.
- Designed and implemented
architecture for US Naval Education and Training Command
Biological Warfare Preparedness web e-learning. Course included enhanced
and alternate presentations for students with visual or motor impairments.
Developed custom Visual Basic for Applications tool to batch-build e-learning
lessons by extracting content from Microsoft Word storyboards. (Work
performed under contract to C2 Technologies.)

Insurance Corporation's Electronic Travel Voucher Application.
Participated in application paper prototyping to validate business process
support and improve user experience. Coordinated with application development
team to incorporate context-sensitive help, including "quick tips"
and process walk-throughs. Created e-learning course incorporating guided
simulations for processes identified as most difficult for users.
